More Cars I'd Like to Own One Day

It's been a while since I made my previous dream car post, filled with no-so-normal dream rides of mine. Here are a few I wanted to add to that list.
  • Lincoln Mark LT
    The 2004-2009 Ford F150 is probably my favorite generation of F150; I just love how cool it looks. So add Lincoln's design language, and you have a truck that I've wanted to own since I was a kid. It's not much more luxurious than the F150, but it certainly is fancy looking, I must say. It competed with the Cadillac Escalade EXT, which was based on the Chevrolet Avalanche, which isn't so much as truck as it is a SUT, like what the Explorer Sport Trac was. So while, yes, the EXT had a bed, it wasn't an actual truck. That's why the Mark LT was awesome; it was the truck for the ballers who needed to get work done. Just don't scratch the paint.
  • First Gen. Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan, Lincoln MKZ
    Oh boy, being 10 years old when the Fusion was first released, it was such a futuristic-looking car, for the time at least. Plus it was a midsize car you could get with a manual transmission, which is always fun. Being based on the Mazda6 helped with the handling, and picking the MKZ with the faster engine, you've got one nice ride.
  • Lincoln LS
    When the LS was released, gone were the days of the Lincoln for your grandfather, this was a Lincoln that shared a platform with a Jaguar, and the Thunderbird. It was the first time Lincoln tried to compete with BMW, and I thought they did a nice job.
  • Pontiac Aztek
    Few cars bring immediate emotion by just hearing the name. Aztek brings out anger. And I don't get it. Sure, it's ugly, but I can think of many ugly cars that have done very well. I remember my grandfather got one as a rental car back when the Aztek was still in production, and I couldn't help but think how unique it looked. My definition of unique is a lot nicer than others when discussing this car.
  • Saturn Sky
    Saturn went out with a bang. The final models of Saturn were fantastic in a sea of abysmal offerings from GM. The Astra, Aura, Outlook, and Vue stood out in a brand that was stripped of its special treatment from GM, with all the models not being unique, but sharing platforms with other GM brands. The Sky, on the other hand, still stands out as a beautiful example of what American brands can do. The Pontiac Solstice was the other GM roadster that it shared a platform with, and personally, as much as I love the Pontiac name, the Sky is just a better looking car. It's too bad Saturn had to go, they had so much potential, but now we have Buick to bring out the European styling to an American brand. 
  • Ford Explorer Sport Trac
    What's more American than combining a sport utility vehicle, and a truck? All the comfort and convenience of a truck with the comfort of an Explorer. I've always loved the look of the Explorer from 2006-2010, as well as 2002-2005, and I love the idea of a truck, so throw it all together and you've got a cool car. I have no idea how useful it would actually be, but I sure do think it looks cool.
  • Anything badge-engineered that didn't sell as well
    I love the American tradition of just slapping a different badge on a bunch of different brands of cars, including but not limited to:
    • Ford Explorer, Mercury Mountaineer, Lincoln Aviator
    • Chevrolet TrailBlazer, GMC Envoy, Buick Rainier, Oldsmobile Bravada, Isuzu Ascender
    • Chevrolet Uplander, Buick Terraza, Saturn Relay, Pontiac Montana.
As you can tell, I have a soft spot for American cars.

  • Buick Regal TourX
    Oh boy, do I love wagons. Especially fancy wagons. I'd love a Saab or Volvo wagon as well, but I don't know what it is about the styling of this Buick, but I just love it. One day...
  • Plymouth Prowler
    Had Chrysler not been bought out by Daimler, we'd still have Plymouth, and we'd also have a much different Plymouth than what was being produced. It all started with the Prowler, Chrysler's semi-parts bin roadster. The exterior styling is like no other car, but the parts inside are. A V6 from some Chrysler car, the same radio, dashboard components, automatic transmission, and other interior trim from various Chryslers, which makes sense, if they want to make something that insane, they have to share parts. This car was supposed to jump start Plymouth into a unique car brand, to separate themselves from the badge-engineered cars they used to sell. The PT Cruiser was supposed to be a Plymouth, but by the time it was marketed, the Plymouth brand was discontinued, and all remaining Plymouths became Chryslers. Who knows what Plymouth could've been. All I want to know is how the Prowler drives, for now.
  • Whatever the new Ford Ranger and Bronco become
    I would love to own a truck, and I've always had a soft spot for trucks. I have no need for a truck, however, so a smaller truck just makes more sense. As much as I love the GMC Canyon, I do also really like the looks of the new Ranger, so why not add it to the list. The Bronco at this point has not had any information released as of yet, but I am very excited for what comes of that. If it's anything like it was before, we're in for a good treat.
