Why I Will Never Buy Anything from Fitbit

I'm a Pebble watch owner. I have been for a couple years now, and I remember when the first Pebble Kickstarter was announced, I instantly wanted one. I thought the idea of a smartwatch that used an eInk-style screen was the smartest implementation because you didn't have to charge it every night. With the release of the Time 2, I was getting the ol' wallet ready, because even though I don't care to keep track of my heart rate, it's a cool feature to have. Then I see in my email yesterday a nice little letter from Fitbit announcing their acquisition of Pebble. Now I had heard rumors of this, but didn't think much of them, and just figured Fitbit would want to make money off both the fitness folk, and the smartwatch people like me. Turns out I was wrong. They only wanted the software side of Pebble, and announced they were discontinuing the line of watches, including the warranties, and possibly updates to the software. Now I'm pissed.
In a smart acquisition…

LG V20 vs. Samsung Galaxy Note 7

I showed up to the T-Mobile store on launch day of the Note 7. I waited in a line of 7, which the T-Mobile folk claimed was the most they'd ever seen for any launch. I intended to the get the blue one, but I settled for the silver one. Afterwards, my experience was alright, this is it. This is the phone I intend to keep for a while. And it was just alright.

When I first switched from the iPhone 6 Plus I had, I intended my next phone to have more useful features. Sure, the iPhone was great, but there was nothing special about it. So the next phone I got was the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Had it not been for the lackluster battery life, it was great. I loved the S Pen, I thought the IR Blaster was convenient as hell, and I just felt like I could do what I wanted with the phone. After a few months I wanted to find a suitable replacement, and I went for a Samsung Galaxy S6 Active. That was great too, better battery life, still had the IR Blaster, but it was noticeably slower. Then I got …

New Video - Another Video Complaining About the iPhone 7

http://youtu.be/xA4lHE7ykRs - If you're going to get rid of the headphone jack, fine. But this isn't what the floppy disk was back in 1998 with the iMac. This is just Apple's supreme arrogance that has gotten worse since Steve Jobs's passing. New Video - OnePlus 3 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 7

http://youtu.be/gW5Z8IrrLEc - The OnePlus 3 is still a fantastic phone, I've just been wooed by the Note 7 with its S Pen, waterproofability, edge screen, and TouchWiz! I've said some angry things about Samsung in the past, but I gotta say, this is a great phone. If you really want to pay the premium for it, it's definitely worth it, but the OnePlus 3 is the best flagship phone for the best price. Hardware-wise, they perform the same. Camera-wise, the OnePlus 3 has a nicer front-facing camera, but the rear-facing camera on the Note 7 is phenomenal. This phone feels so great in the hand compared to the OnePlus 3. Battery lives are similar, I want to say with heavy use the OnePlus 3 might get an hour better battery life, but they're very close, but with Samsung's extreme power saving modes, I feel more comfortable with the Note 7. Software-wise, I've been won over by TouchWiz. It used to be ugly, but it's really elegant now. Samsung tends to do more common-s…

New Video - OnePlus 3 vs. Nexus 6P

http://youtu.be/FjB2FsWkchE - One thing I forgot to mention was the front facing speakers on the Nexus 6P are far louder, if a bit susceptible to distortion, than the bottom facing speaker on the OnePlus 3. Otherwise, the OnePlus 3 is a much nicer phone than the Nexus 6P. Cricket Wireless has pissed me off

Outages happen. That's just a fact of life. The sun will rise, you'll have to pay your taxes, and someday, something you rely on will go out. When something like your power, or cable go out, there's usually communication from the company that there's a problem, an explanation of what is wrong, and when it'll approximately be fixed. You can go online and find out all this information. That's what a good company would do. Cricket Wireless didn't do that last night.

From around 5 PM on June 3rd, 2016, users began to experience service outages, like myself. Twitter was a-glow with anger from customers all confused as to why their phones weren't working. Cricket acknowledged this around 7:03 PM with this Tweet. I Tweeted my anger with that one post being the sole piece of information from Cricket at 7:46 PM. As a piece of backstory, I was a previous AT&T user who wanted to switch to Cricket for a better deal on my monthly bill, and to stay with AT&T&…

http://youtu.be/RA1tL3N5XCI - I don't know if this is a well known thing, but I certainly was excited when I found it. You just have to have a Mac with the Boing novelty voice enabled. Hopefully Apple didn't take that out of OS X in later versions because I right now only have access to 10.7.

Why does the MacBook charge by USB-C?

Most posts that are titled with a question then answer it in the post, but this is a serious question that I have, and one that I've been thinking about for a while now; Why would a company like Apple put USB-C on the MacBook? It totally makes sense why, because it's reversible, versatile, and it's compact, but why USB-C and not by Apple's own Lightning?

Some might say USB-C is more powerful for a full computer, but the MacBook is running on a very light Intel Core M processor that's even fan-less. Plus, if the Lightning cable is powerful enough to power a beefy iPad Pro, while also allowing for video-out, speedy transfers, and everything else the Lightning cable can do, it should also be powerful enough for a MacBook. Not to mention that everything else in Apple's mobile line-up is powered by the Lightning cable, such as the new Apple TV Remote, the iPad Pro Pencil, the Beats Pill+, and every iOS device currently sold. So why not the MacBook?

I'm not condo…
